Oh, and if you’re here to connect with me, click the buttons to the right, you’ll see my social networking profiles, and below that you’ll be able to get on my newsletter. (Where I share a bunch of cool tips and tricks).

What is Enlightened WebMastery?

My vision for Enlightened WebMastery is really quite simple.  To help you spread your message, increase your influence and make more money online (even if you’re making none right now)… without any of the “shady” tactics some people recommend.

It’s a place for me to share the lessons I’ve learned, to share what I’m doing, and most importantly, the site is really about you…  how to spread your message, improve your blog, and make more money.

To help you with this goal I plan on providing you with high value actionable posts that you can go out and use right now to grow your blog or business beyond whatever you previously expected or dreamed.

I’m really focusing on making sure my content is relevant, actionable, comprehensive, complete, and ready to implement.  I want you to take action…

I see this site as a premium resource, something worth paying good money for… without costing you one red cent.  I truly believe the information being shared here can and will make you very successful… if you just apply it.

I’m completely revamping the site right now to make sure that you get the BEST information available, presented in the most USEFUL format possible.  Everything is designed to be totally focused on providing you a benefit in a few short minutes.

I invite you to bookmark this site and keep coming back.  Be sure to sign up for the newsletter (pssst, click the link), and be sure to come back often (I’ll leave the lights on for you. :P )

Who The Heck is Jason Annas?

me small 300 black Hey, thanks for stopping by :)

Hey it’s me (Jason), and I’m the owner and “resident blogger” here.  I love marketing, I enjoy hiking (not a big fan of the mosquito’s though), I enjoy meditation, and happen to love “the Google”.

When I have some free time I enjoy watching movies, reading books (typically a marketing book or a book on philosophy, health, or meditation).

I’m currently working on getting back in shape, having fun with yoga, going on walks, and enjoying nature.

I’m also a bit of a tech geek and absolutely obsessed with most anything Apple.  (I have a thing for the shiny things, what can you do right? :P )

But you may be wondering, how I got into all this stuff, and what makes me so special?

Well, the day I turned 16 I got my first job.  It was bagging groceries (I wanted to be a Jet Pack tester, but they weren’t hiring :X), looking back it’s funny, because even back then I was thinking about ways the grocery store could make more money.

I even went as far as setting up a little joint venture between two small local businesses (between a Chinese restaurant and the local grocery which proved quite popular) (Sadly the restaurant is no longer there).

(I didn’t get a bonus or anything (well I did get a free drink and sandwich!))

It’s crazy, I was 16, and the only thing I was interested in (besides girls (still love em’), wrestling (thankfully I got over that :P ), and music), was playing video games, and building websites…

But for me the sites weren’t about making money (you could do that?), I just liked it because it was fun, kept my mind focused, and was a great form of meditation.

(pssttt… back then I was writing code by hand on REAL paper with a REAL pen!  Meaning I took a ballpoint pen and wrote HTML code inside my composition notebook (this was 10 years ago, I didn’t have a computer, and I needed to write this stuff out before going to the library to make new websites!)

After a while I realized that my business ideas were pretty good, but I didn’t really see marketing or anything as a path (heck, I didn’t even know what marketing was!).

So I went to college and studied Information Systems and Internet Technologies.

These are just a bunch of fancy words which mean, how to setup networks (computer equipment), and how to design websites…

In 2006, getting tired of working in IT (building computers, setting up routers, etc), I decided I’d do what back then I enjoyed the most… making websites.  Though my interests changed ever so slightly…

The thing I enjoyed most was blogging, it was fun, it was free, and it was just a great way to get things off your mind and onto “paper”.

Around the same time, I realized there wasn’t much money to be made in just making websites for people…

So I bought a few books by people like, Dan Kennedy (Marketing Genius), Al Ries and Jack Trout (Positioning), Darren Rowse (ProBlogger), and Spin Selling (by Neil Rackham).

These books had a pretty big influence on me.  I learned about how to make money online with Darren’s book…

It was the first real step, and influenced me to create a “review site” to make money with Amazon and adsense  (worked pretty good until my home state NC, decided to sue Amazon and all the money stopped… but that’s another story… :P )

But likely the defining moment for me, was when Internet Marketing Guru Eben Pagan started teaching how to make money.  He created a huge series of free videos that majorly influenced me, made me see what was possible and how to get there.

He inspired me to make my first info product (which was a training course that I sold to make money).

The product sold pretty well, and I learned a lot during the process (as well as learning what I didn’t know).  I took my first product off the market earlier this year, and now It’s available for free (find out more below).

The whole point behind this is, this is stuff I do, and stuff I love.  I can’t imagine doing anything else right now (beyond marketing and helping people market), it’s just so fun and there’s always something new to learn…

With my blog I’ll be sharing what I learn, tips and tricks and ways you can take what I spent hours / days / weeks learning, and actually do it…  How cool’s that?

Anyway, enough about me, let’s get back to YOU!

For Internet Marketers or IM Hopefuls

A lot of internet marketers learn how to make money online by experimenting with various tricks and fancy “tactics” to dominate the internet… what’s ironic is a lot of these things just don’t work.

(A lot of times they even end up blowing up in your face!  Trust me… I know a guy who… uhh … knows a guy :P )

My goal here is to make sure that what I teach not only works now, but also works in the future.  It’s more of an “enlightened” approach to marketing.

If you already have a successful business or blog, what I want to do is help you maximize and multiply what you’re already doing… and do so with minimal effort.

You’re really going to like this site, if you need more, you can feel free to contact me using the contact me link up above.  I’m open to doing JV’s and I’m always looking for a “few good affiliates”.

What’s WordPress Foundations All About?

WordPress Foundations The Course

WordPress Foundations is a online training course that I sold for $50 dollars.  I did so quite successfully for well over a year.  Thing is (what I didn’t intend to happen) is people started assuming I was this WordPress Guru (I’m not) and kept wanting more…

What was supposed to be a little side project to help people get started turned into a full time job (and somewhat got me off focus with Enlightened WebMastery).

So early in 2010 I basically took the product off the market.  Fast forward 6 Months Later (July 2010), I’ve successfully updated the course to cover WordPress 3…

…but now it’s even more powerful.

The course walks you step by step through the EXACT process that I use (or recommend) to setup any site.

You learn every valuable plugin, each super secret “ninja” technique, and everywhere I go to make sure the sites I setup are of the highest quality, and return, as will yours.

Even better?  The new version of WordPress Foundations is FREE!  That’s right, FREE!

Why would I do this?  Well part of it is to give back, I want people to actually get started.  I know how hard and frustrating it is to start up a site online.  You find out you need to blog, you learn that WordPress is the best blogging platform, but you just don’t know how the heck to use it.

So like many people, maybe you go to your local bookstore and end up picking up a 500‑1000 page book on WordPress.  Crazy right?

I know many people who have bought 2–3 books on WordPress and NEVER ended up even starting a blog… which is silly because the entire process is so simple (let me show you, join the course, it’s free).

So in WordPress Foundations I walk you through step by step everything you need to know, sharing the wisdom that you can only get through years of doing this.

You’ll learn every “insider technique” and best of all?  I’m not going to lecture about the history of this panel, and explain EVERY SINGLE FRICKEN OPTION!

If you want to learn what every button does, Google it or buy one of those 500 page books (they do make great doorstops).  But if you really want to get started, and get started right, there’s no better way than WordPress Foundations.

Well… what’s the other reason?  Ahh… right!

Well, with soo many questions about WordPress, my blog has turned into pretty much a WordPress only blog, and it kinda makes me not want to update it as much… can you blame me?  A new version comes out every 3 months it seems (sometimes less!).

So in an effort to bring everyone up, I made WordPress Foundations free, and even better, I made it into a membership area, so if you have questions, you can ask and the community can help, or I can without having to clutter up this blog with basic WordPress stuff…

Instead I can focus on the “cool” stuff, like increasing your conversions (getting your readers to do stuff), traffic getting strategies (get more visitors, and convert them), building relationships (so they know like and trust you), as well as other money getting techniques

Personally, this is what I love to teach (and do), so I’m excited about sharing that with you.  I also think you’ll like it more than learning how to fix some crazed WordPress problem… but don’t worry.  I’ll still post the odd how to fix wordpress training :)
