hi, how would you change your embeded youtube video in your html website? i like to place 2 different videos but only one screen. is that possible?

Is there any way to start the playback at 480p by default ? I’ve tried numerous approaches but the embed starts at 360p no matter what .

Thanks… that explains a few things. Anyone know how to remove the HD option from the video player though? No matter what I try, that option is still there. I’m basically trying to get to the most uber stripped down player possible.

Glad you liked it Kate. I too hated the related videos function, the part I hated most though was the “Search Box” which appears when that feature is turned on.

As well as the long list of videos showing up at the bottom of the video while the video is playing.

Now (as of March) you can easily upload HD videos to youtube.

To make sure your video shows up as HD make sure it is mp4 and 1280x720.

Doing this will give you HD video, my new videos will now be shown here in HD. You can view the example here or my article located here which shows the video in HD.

Jason, This is a great article! I'm about to add video to my site, and debated using a service other than YouTube because I don't want the related videos. Your post is timely!
