Ok I got my blog claimed and approved but the thumbnail it shows is nearly 6 weeks old and my authority is “1” (this is why I deleted my original claim of a year ago because my authority never rose above that even with a healthy number of page views and in and out bound links). This surely can’t be right — any ideas what I should do?

Jason, your tutorial was extremely helpful. Not only have I managed to claim my blog, I learned so much about other areas connected to building a site and maintaining it. I am approaching this new field of blogging, HTML and computer technology as if I were learning a new language. Your lessons are detailed and start from the basic concepts. I appreciate it tremendously, because I am one of the people who are just learning to recognize the “techie” words. I use the same approach when I teach my kids how to cook and it works. Thanks!

Great info. I have been racking my brain of how to do this! Very clear and concise. It is very difficult to find the instructions on how to do this. Keep up the good work! I really appreciated the article and video. I am still having difficulty with trying to claim my blog but I am determined to get it done. I am using the Mystique theme for WordPress so do you think it would be best to put the claim token in the footer php or in a text widget on the sidebar? Any thoughts? Thanks for this article, I found your video on youtube. I had trouble understanding where to put the code they send for you to be able to claim your blog on technorati but after watching and reading your article a couple of times.

It would be helpful to us if you could show where to edit the footer page in WordPress or how to use the widget method with diagrams if poss.
