Why Use The DashBoard?
The reason we are going to use the dashboard to automatically install our plugins, instead of going to Google and typing in a name of a plugin, then searching through the results and finding the right plugin, then unzipping the plugin, and uploading the plugin, then activating (wow!), we just type in a name or tag, then click install. It pains me to even read that last sentence, imagine having to constantly do it.
How To Easily Install Plugins For WordPress
I cover this whole process in the video below, but to recap, here are the steps to install a plug-in using WordPress 2.7 and up.
Login To Your Dashboard
Click Plugins
Scroll To The Bottom, Click Plugin Browser/Installer
Type A Term or Tag (Stats) and Click Search
Find A Plugin From The Search Results
Click The Install Button
Type In Your FTP information
Click Proceed
Click Activate
You’re Finished!

Conclusion
I hope this article has helped you, and you have fun installing plugins. Please keep in mind, this is a new feature, and it does not always work as expected (you may get write errors, you may not be able to find a plugin) so if you run across a problem or error, do not pull your hair out, it’s not you, it’s them.
