in Tutorials

When your writing an article on your blog, and linking within your site (which you should!) you may start getting pingbacks from your own blog. Obviously this is trash, and needs to either be moderated or deleted. One of my clients who is in my blog building course was getting tired of his blog pinging back himself, and I figured others out there are having the same problem. So here it is, your simple 1 click solution. Enjoy!

The Plugin

All you need to do is visit this website –>

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/no-self-ping/

Download the plugin, unzip it, upload the php file to your plugins directory, go to settings -> plugins -> and activate the plugin and you’re done!

The Video

I hope this has helped you, and I’ll talk to you soon.

Thank you for this, you were the #10 Google result when I searched ‘should you pingback your own site wordpress’ and this was the quickest, most straightforward answer to solve it.
